This program provides you with the knowledge and experience required to plan and conduct cavern penetration dives within the light zone at depths shallower than 130ft. You will learn how to use specialized cavern diving equipment, gas management concepts and buddy team skills to safely conduct cavern dives. You will earn the SSI Cavern Diving Specialty certification after completing this program.
The Cavern course makes you hone important skills like buoyancy and trim that are important in every diving environment. You will also learn how to properly us a reel.
The cavern zone is the part of a cave which daylight is still visible. The cavern zone is one of the most beautiful part of the cave. Divers must learn the proper techniques to safely explore the cavern zone so that they do not endanger themselves or damage the environment. The skills gained by taking the Cavern course will make all divers more aware of their buoyancy and trim. Having great buoyancy and trim is what makes a good diver a great diver. You will learn to multi-task with this hands-on class and have fun too.
