FAQ Great White Trip

Guadalupe Island
What is the diving like at Guadalupe Island?
Adventuring out to Guadalupe Island is all about getting in the water and being closer to great white sharks then you ever imagined. It’s a one day open ocean sail out to Guadalupe Island. The island is 25 miles long and we anchor where the waters are almost always calm. The truly amazing thing about this destination is the sheer number of great white sharks.
When should I book my flights?
We suggest flying in the day before the boat departs. This allows time for any delays or missing baggage. After the trip we also suggest you depart the following day to account for any delays at the border.
What airport should I fly into?
You have two options for airports for your Guadalupe adventure. You can fly into the San Diego airport (SAN), and then proceed to our San Diego hospitality suite. Alternatively you can also fly into the Tijuana airport (TIJ).
Where should I stay before my trip?
We are pleased to be working with the Holiday Inn San Diego – Bayside to bring you the best deal on accommodations in San Diego. Located across the street from our San Diego hospitality suite, there is no better place to settle in before your great white shark adventure!
Please click here for more information.
Where do I meet the boat?
Please meet us at our San Diego hospitality suite. The suite will be open at 12:00 pm on your departure day; we load baggage and depart at 7:30 pm. The transfer is approximately 2 hours to your ship waiting for you in Ensenada, Mexico. Mexican custom regulations require all guests exit the vehicle at the border with their belongings, obtain a tourist card and then walk through customs before boarding the vehicle again. We will help you. No problemo!

Alternatively, you may also meet us directly in Ensenada, Mexico. If you are meeting us directly in Mexico and you are not a Mexican citizen, you must stop and get an FMM. Click here for more info.
