What our Pros Use
Our Divemaster and Instructors are often asked what gear they use.
On this page you will find the gear of our pros.
Dolphi's Gear
I have spent a lot of time over the years looking for the best gear, not the most expention gear I like gear that is going to work everytime I need it. I don't spend a lot of time cleaning my personal gear
I don't baby my gear, I do put a lot of dives on my gear and that means a lot of loading and unloading bumping in to thing etc.)
For diving just enjoying the sights "Receational and Travel"
Snorkel: roll up snorkels are great put them in a pocket and forget about it till the one time you might need it.
Fin: Atomic Open heel Spilt fins with SS straps (I have had a pair of this fins since sometime around 2001 the first pair lasted for a solid 14 years for hundreds of dives. The Atomic open heel spilt fin are work extremely well for keeping up with you dive buddies or swimming circles around them.
Fins for cave diving: Atomic X1 Bladefin with SS straps are my choice for diving in places where I'm almost only going to be using the frog kick to get around. The X1 fin are great at frog kicks and do very well with the the fliater kick also.
Boots: AquaLung Manta 5mm boots have been my chooice for years the hard sole are great for walking around on the rocky shore of dive sites
Wetsuit/thermale Protection:
Aqualung 3mm HydroFlex shorty
Aqualung 3mm AquaFlex
Aqualung 5mm Aquaflex
Lavacore hooded vest (I love my hooded vest I wear it a lot with my full length wetsuits. I don't always put the hood up but it's there when I need it. with the hood down it give you a turtle neck to help keep you warm and the small amount of water coming in the back zipper has to hit the vest before it hit your skin.
Aqualung 8/7 SolAfx semidry
AqauLung Fusion Bullet Drysuit
BC: AquaLung Rogue (the Rogue is lite weight and easy to travel with. I has 3 main parts the back, shoulder straps, waist band. Each of these parts come in 3 sizes. You can custume build the Rogue to fit each person.
If you are Tall and skinny you can get a Large back and shoulder, then a small waist band, or if you're short and not as skinny you could do the small back and large waist band.)
Regulators: Apex XTX50 with yoke (I have had the same regulator for at least 15 years it have tons of dives and have held up and never let me down.
Computer: I have a Shearwater Teric and a Perdix AI. (I have used transmitters for over 20 years. I keep a SPG in my gear bag but have not had any problem with my transmitter yet. I have seen broken transmitters come in the shop, maybe I have just been really luck.)I don't baby my gear, I do put a lot of dives on my gear and that means a lot of loading and unloading bumping in to thing etc.)
